Dividend Aristocrats Shine Bright with Consistent Growth

The Dividend Aristocrats are a group of companies that have raised their dividends for at least 25 years, often through economic downturns and market fluctuations. These companies have consistently demonstrated their ability to generate cash flow and reward shareholders with increasing dividend payments.

Five such companies stand out in August: Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Procter & Gamble (PG), McDonald's (MCD), Coca-Cola (KO), and Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Each of these companies has a long history of dividend growth, a strong balance sheet, and a defensible business model.

Johnson & Johnson has increased its dividend for 64 consecutive years, with the latest raise bringing the quarterly payout to $1.34 per share. The company's revenue grew 9.9% year-over-year in Q1 2026, driven by strong sales of DARZALEX and CARVYKTI.

Procter & Gamble has a dividend increase streak of 70 consecutive years and 136 consecutive years of dividend payments. The company plans to pay approximately $10 billion in dividends and $5 billion in share repurchases in FY2027, with core EPS guidance of $6.89 to $7.11.

McDonald's is a contrarian pick, as shares are down 9.63% year-to-date to $272.83. However, the company has a strong loyalty program and is targeting 50,000 global units by 2028.
