Three teams in Dorset are gearing up for an extraordinary challenge on August 31. They will attempt to pull a Boeing 737 weighing 35,000kg over 50 metres at Bournemouth Airport as part of the Dorset Plane Pull charity event.

The event is raising money for mental health charity Dorset Mind and will see teams compete to pull the aircraft in the fastest time. According to Emma Murgatroyd, community and events fundraising manager at Dorset Mind, 'It isn't every day you get the chance to pull a Boeing 737.'

The event aims to raise £3,000 to support Dorset Mind's mental health services, which include peer support group sessions. These sessions provide safe spaces for people to connect, gain confidence, and improve their wellbeing.
