Dow Drops 418 Points, Led by Losses in Paints, Finance, and Retail
The Dow Jones Index closed lower on Tuesday, down 0.79 percent from the previous day's close.
The index lost 418 points to close at 52,768, with losses led by Sherwin-Williams (-2.63%), Goldman Sachs (-2.52%), and Nike (-2.46%).
However, some stocks managed to buck the trend, including Apple (up 2.58%), Chevron (up 2.33%), and J&J (up 2.14%). These gains helped offset the losses in other sectors.
