Dow Jones Rebounds but Still Faces Weekly Loss Amid Rising Treasury Yields
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rebounded on Friday, rising 0.52% after Thursday's decline caused by increasing Treasury yields.
The DJIA fell 1.32% on Thursday, despite Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's assurance that he has measures to address liquidity problems in the government debt market.
The rise in Treasury yields was also influenced by Walmart's (WMT) weaker-than-expected fiscal second-quarter results.
