Dow Soars as Tech and Finances Lead Gains

U.S. stocks finished higher on Thursday after a mixed trading session, according to data from Investing.com.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average led the gains, rising 1.18% or 337 points to 30,474. The S&P 500 index climbed 1.06%, while the NASDAQ Composite index added 1.40%. The Financials sector was a top performer, with Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS) surging 3.34% to $1,037.93.

Meanwhile, shares in McDonald's Corporation (MCD) hit 52-week lows after falling 0.51% or $1.32 to $259.63. The CBOE Volatility Index dropped 5.86% to 14.31, a sign of reduced investor fear.
