Dow Surges to New High as Tech Giants Take Center Stage
The Dow Jones Index experienced a notable gain on Friday, closing at 51,829 points. This represents an increase of 479 points or 0.93 percent compared to the previous day's close.
The top performers among the Dow's constituents were Microsoft, Sherwin-Williams, and Amgen, which rose by 3.71%, 2.72%, and 2.15% respectively.
On the other hand, Salesforce, IBM, and Nike were among the biggest losers, with declines of 1.76%, 0.71%, and 0.61% respectively.
