Draper Urges Apple and Meta to Add Bitcoin to Balance Sheets

Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper has urged major technology companies to add Bitcoin to their corporate balance sheets, calling it 'irresponsible' for them to maintain zero exposure. He singled out Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Meta (NASDAQ: META), both of which hold significant cash reserves but no Bitcoin holdings.

Draper made the remarks in a 30-minute interview with Bitcoin Magazine, citing SpaceX as an example of a forward-thinking company already holding Bitcoin on its balance sheet. He argued that corporate boards should hold at least four weeks' worth of operating expenses in Bitcoin as a hedge against financial-system risk.

Draper also extended his recommendation to individuals and governments, suggesting they hold roughly six months' worth of Bitcoin reserves each. He warned that government spending has not slowed, which could lead to one of two outcomes: hyperinflation or interest rates high enough to collapse banks.
