The annual Dreamforce conference in San Francisco brought together around 50,000 people, including tech executives and celebrities. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff was in attendance, as well as other notable figures such as Nvidia's Jensen Huang and OpenAI's Sam Altman.

During the conference, there were concerns expressed about the potential risks of artificial intelligence (AI). Joseph Gordon-Levitt delivered a pointed toast at the Time 100/AI gala dinner, stating that 'today's biggest AI companies are operating in such a way that the law should be shutting them down.'

Suzanne DiBianca, Salesforce's chief impact officer, opened a panel on AI and humanity by admitting she considered changing the title to reflect a more ominous tone. Matthew McConaughey proposed retiring the word 'regulation' and using 'standard' instead.

Will.i.am told the crowd that AI is heading toward a dystopian scenario where humans are controlled, saying 'what the fuck is that? That can't be fucking tomorrow.'
