Dutch Bros Seeks to Double Stores Amidst Intense Competition
Dutch Bros, the coffee and energy drink chain, has set ambitious expansion goals. By 2029, the company aims to have 2,029 stores open, up from 1,225 today.
This growth would be a significant increase in the retail coffee market, which is highly competitive with major players like Starbucks, McDonald's, and Dunkin', as well as smaller rivals such as 7 Brew Coffee and The Human Bean.
Investors are currently skeptical about Dutch Bros' prospects, with shares trading 55% below their peak. However, if the company reaches its growth target, a $10,000 investment could be worth around $16,600 by 2029, assuming revenue grows at an annual rate of 18%.
This would mark a slowdown from the 30% yearly clip posted in the prior three years. The key to Dutch Bros' success lies in its ability to expand and maintain market share amidst intense competition.
