East Central Florida Baked by Extreme Heat

A heat advisory has been issued for East Central Florida, including Walt Disney World, due to extremely high temperatures.

The National Weather Service predicts heat index values of 108 to 112 degrees this afternoon, with highs in the mid-90s across the region.

The advisory will be in effect from 10am to 8pm today, and residents are urged to take precautions such as staying hydrated, seeking shade, and rescheduling strenuous activities for early morning or evening hours.
