Google Maps Simplifies Saved Places Management

Google Maps is constantly evolving to improve user experience and efficiency. One such feature being tested by Google is the ability to hide all saved places from the map view with a single tap. Currently, users can save places of importance or interest and organize them into lists on the You tab and in the actual map view.

However, hiding individual lists requires multiple taps, which may be cumbersome for frequent users. To simplify this process, Google is testing an option to combine all saved places under a single 'All saved places' superlist. This list can then be easily hidden from the map view with a tap on the three-dot button next to it.

Moreover, Google is experimenting with Ask Maps implementation for lists, aiming to simplify how users discuss specific lists. Currently, users must specify the name of the list in each instance of Ask Maps, which may involve extra steps and accuracy requirements. To address this issue, a dedicated 'Ask' button within lists is being tested.
