EBank Taps IBM for Enterprise Data Transformation

The Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank) has partnered with IBM to advance its enterprise data transformation. Through this collaboration, EBank will develop a bank-wide data governance and integration foundation using IBM Cloud Pak for Data and IBM watsonx.

The new system enables EBank to connect, govern, and manage data across its operations while retaining control within its secure environment. This is in line with the bank's digital objectives, which have led to a significant growth in its data landscape across core banking, cards, customer relationship management (CRM), and other systems.

IBM watsonx.data backs data integration and pipelines, while the platform integrates capabilities for data governance, quality management, cataloging, privacy validation, and end-to-end data lineage. The on-premises deployment supports EBank's digital sovereignty objectives by keeping data and processing within the bank's own secure environment.
