Echo Lake Refurbishments Take Shape with Realistic Touches
Disney's Hollywood Studios has made significant progress in its refurbishment efforts at Echo Lake. A week after the fake logs and tree stumps received a fresh coat of paint, themed details have been added to both the scenery and Dockside Diner.
The Echo Lake logs now boast detailed shading and contrast that give them a more realistic look, making them resemble real wood from a distance. This improvement is evident when comparing photos taken on September 26 and October 2. The original solid brown color has been replaced with textured paint that accentuates the wood's grain.
Crews have also focused on Dockside Diner, repainting its exterior to restore its original appearance. The white and red hull have been refreshed, and a fake water line has been added. Strategically placed 'rusting' details adorn the portholes and rivets, giving the diner a worn look.
These upgrades are part of the ongoing refurbishment process at Echo Lake, which began with the draining of the lake last month and the installation of scaffolding around Dockside Diner soon after. The efforts aim to enhance the overall experience for park visitors.
