Ed Brubaker Sued for Creating Hostile Work Environment on 'Criminal' Set

Comic book writer Ed Brubaker is facing a lawsuit from a production assistant who claims he created a hostile work environment on the set of Amazon MGM's adaptation of his series 'Criminal.'

Ijaaz Noohu, a Sri Lankan American production assistant, alleges that Brubaker made unwelcome comments about his hair and body, as well as jokes about rape. He also claims that Brubaker subjected him to demeaning ethnic stereotypes, including referring to him as 'Indian' despite knowing he was not from India.

The lawsuit also accuses Brubaker of displaying a firearm at Noohu's face during filming. Executive Producer Philipp Barnett is named in the suit for allegedly enabling Brubaker's behavior and discouraging others from reporting his actions.

Noohu claims that he was retaliated against after requesting a promotion, with his exit date being moved up and being barred from set. Amazon MGM declined to comment on the allegations.
