Einride Teams Up with Nvidia to Scale Autonomous Trucking Operations

Einride, an autonomous trucking company, has partnered with Nvidia to accelerate its transition to autonomous operations. The collaboration will use Nvidia's Hyperion platform, which is a production-ready compute and sensor reference architecture for Level 4 autonomy.

Einride currently operates hundreds of electric trucks across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, including some that are already running autonomously in contracted customer deployments. The company expects its fleet to grow to 1,500-2,000 vehicles by 2028, with approximately 80% of that demand suitable for automation.

The partnership will also utilize Nvidia's Halos safety system and Cosmos platform to improve the safety and reliability of Einride's autonomous vehicles. According to Henrik Green, CTO at Einride, 'We have the customers, the operational experience and the technology. Building the next generation of the Einride Driver on the Nvidia Hyperion platform, will enable us to scale autonomous deployment across a freight network that’s already serving customers today.'

Nvidia's Rishi Dhall added, 'Autonomous trucking represents one of the clearest opportunities to improve the safety and efficiency of global freight.' The collaboration aims to create a scalable foundation for safe and production-ready autonomous freight operations.
