Embraer E-Jets for Microsoft Flight Simulator Exits Early Access After Three Years
FlightSim Studio has finally released version 1.0 of its Embraer E-Jets for Microsoft Flight Simulator after over three years in early access. The developer announced the full release on its official site, acknowledging that the development process took longer than anticipated. The initial early access version launched three years and eight months ago, which, while not uncommon in gaming, has sparked some controversy within the flight simulation community.
The extended development period was partly due to FlightSim Studio's decision to replace the default autopilot system with a fully custom solution. Despite reaching version 1.0, the studio has pledged continued support, with Service Update 1 scheduled for November. This update will introduce new features like Fix Info, Vertical Direct-To, BeyondATC, and SayIntentions support for the MCDU, along with sound improvements. Additionally, a native version for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is expected in December.
The Embraer E-Jets package includes the E170, E175, E190, E195, E190F, and E195F models. These aircraft are available on Aerosoft and Contrail in three separate bundles: E170 and E175, E190 and E195, and Freighters. The passenger bundles are priced at approximately $58 each, while the freighters cost around $38. Owners of both passenger bundles can unlock the freighters at no additional cost. The 1.0 version will also be available on official marketplaces in the coming days.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, while Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 remains available for PC and Xbox. For more flight simulation news, readers can explore Simulation Daily's latest articles and videos.
