Home Depot offers $1M relief to Wren Kitchens customers in Connecticut
Home Depot has provided over $1 million in relief to Connecticut customers affected by the sudden closure of Wren Kitchens, according to the state Attorney General’s Office. The kitchen cabinet retailer, which operated showrooms within Home Depot stores, filed for bankruptcy last spring. The company listed 10,000 Connecticut creditors in its bankruptcy filing.
Home Depot assisted customers by helping them file credit card disputes and issuing gift cards or checks to cover unfulfilled orders from Wren Kitchens. The Attorney General’s Office noted that Home Depot will continue offering assistance through the end of October.
NBC Connecticut Responds first reported the closure in April, highlighting homeowners left with gutted kitchens and unfinished projects. The outlet has repeatedly sought comments from Wren Kitchens but has not received a response.
