Emerald Investment Advisers Buys into Apple with $58.6M Stake

Emerald Investment Advisers LLC has acquired a new position in Apple Inc.'s shares, purchasing approximately $58.6 million worth of stock. The institutional investor bought 202,570 shares during the second quarter, making it Apple's second-largest holding at 3.9% of Emerald's portfolio.

This move is part of a larger trend, as several other hedge funds and institutional investors have also increased their stakes in Apple. Westpac Banking Corp, Iyo Bank Ltd., TRB Wealth Management LLC, Sumitomo Life Insurance Co., and William Blair Investment Management LLC all bought new positions in the company during the second quarter.

Apple's stock has been performing well, with a 16.4% increase in revenue over the same period last year. The company's quarterly earnings per share of $2.02 exceeded analysts' expectations, and its services business continues to grow with initiatives like Apple Pay expansion into India.
