Enchanted Tiki Room at Walt Disney World to Undergo Changes After Nearly 55 Years

A nearly 55-year-old Walt Disney World Resort attraction is undergoing some changes. The Enchanted Tiki Room, an audio-animatronic show in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park, has filed a new construction permit. This comes after the show's original debut on October 1, 1971.

The permit was filed by Walt Disney World Resort for Buena Vista Construction Company to provide labor and materials for construction. The filing expires in one year, but it's unlikely that major updates are planned since permits associated with significant changes usually involve Walt Disney Imagineering or the Facility Assets Management team.

Disney Parks fans can assume that this is simply maintenance work for the classic attraction. The official webpage for the Enchanted Tiki Room doesn't list any upcoming refurbishment closures, so guests can continue to add it to their vacation itineraries.
