Entera Bio Adds Laura Hamill to Board of Directors
Entera Bio (NASDAQ: ENTX) has added a seasoned biopharmaceutical executive, Laura Hamill, to its Board of Directors, effective December 1, 2026. Hamill, who brings over 35 years of commercial and business leadership experience, succeeds Yonatan Malca, who is stepping down after 16 years of service. Her background includes roles at Gilead Sciences and Amgen, where she led global commercial operations and oversaw significant revenue streams.
Hamill most recently served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Commercial Operations at Gilead Sciences, managing a team of 2,500 employees responsible for $22 billion in annual revenue. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades at Amgen, holding various leadership positions that covered a substantial portion of the company's revenue. Entera Bio expects her expertise to aid in the commercial preparedness of its osteoporosis candidate EB613 and the advancement of its broader pipeline.
Miranda Toledano, CEO of Entera, expressed excitement about Hamill's appointment, highlighting her experience in stewarding multi-billion dollar therapeutic franchises. Hamill herself noted her enthusiasm for Entera's oral peptide platform, particularly the potential of EB613 in treating osteoporosis. She also praised the company's mission to transform therapy delivery for patients.
Hamill currently serves on the boards of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, BB Biotech AG, and Fate Therapeutics. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Arizona. Entera Bio is a clinical-stage company focused on developing oral peptide and protein replacement therapies, with EB613 as its most advanced product candidate.
