Ethiopian Airlines has significantly expanded its long-haul cargo capabilities with a new order for 10 Boeing freighter aircraft, reinforcing its position as one of Africa's leading air cargo operators and strengthening its partnership with Boeing.

The African carrier ordered eight new Boeing 777-8 Freighters and two additional 777 Freighters, combining the established operating capabilities of the 777 Freighter with the next-generation technology of Boeing's 777X family.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said the agreement would strengthen the airline's cargo operations while supporting the continued expansion of its global network.

The new aircraft will provide increased payload capacity, operational flexibility, and efficiency for Ethiopian Airlines as it responds to growing demand for international air freight.
