Eva Air Seeks Dozen New Widebody Jets from Airbus and Boeing
Taiwan's Eva Air is in talks to purchase additional Airbus and Boeing widebody jets to modernize its fleet. The airline aims to replace its aging Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which accounts for nearly a third of its 89-plane fleet.
The company is considering ordering around two dozen large passenger jets from both Airbus and Boeing as part of this effort.
Eva Air's move comes as it seeks to grow its fleet and improve operational efficiency. The airline's decision is reportedly driven by the need to secure replacements for its most-used aircraft, with the 777-300ER being a crucial component of its operations.
