The Federal Circuit Court has sided with Google and YouTube in an online ad patent case. The court refused to revive an infringement suit brought by an advertising management system company against the tech giants.

The decision upholds a California federal judge's finding that the claims at issue are invalid. The plaintiff's lawsuit alleged that Google and YouTube infringed on their patents for an advertising management system.

The Federal Circuit's ruling brings an end to the case, which had been ongoing since 2019.
