Florida Cats Vanish From Home Depot, Rescue Group Demands Answers

A colony of cats that had been living at a Home Depot in Lake City, Florida for six years has vanished, and the rescue group that cared for them is demanding answers.

The Ranch Rescue group says it was never told where the cats were taken after they were trapped, sterilized, and vaccinated as part of an established care program.

A spokesperson for Home Depot said the company works with a third-party contractor to capture and relocate animals, but did not identify the contractor or provide information on what happened to the Lake City cats.

The rescue group has obtained legal representation in connection with the missing cats and is seeking answers about their whereabouts.
