Former Google PM Launches Appleseed Planner for High-Net-Worth Tech Workers

A former Google product manager has launched a free financial planning tool for high-net-worth professionals. Appleseed Planner, founded by Adam Waaramaa, models over $33 billion in assets across 11,000 users and delivers an advisor-grade Monte Carlo retirement plan in just five minutes.

The platform was born out of personal frustration when Waaramaa and his wife tried to calculate whether she could safely quit her job. Existing financial tools were either too simplistic or required manual inputs and research, so he built a tool that automates life-event modeling and allows users to build advisor-grade retirement plans.

The platform includes features such as an Adaptive Spending feature to model how people tighten their budgets during market downturns, a Spouse Share mode for couples to view their plan together, and an Appleseed Pro tier with live Plaid account syncing and Roth conversion optimization.
