Fort Smith Schools Ink 10-Year Deal with Coca-Cola
The Fort Smith School District in Arkansas has announced a new partnership with Coca-Cola that will last for 10 years. The deal includes naming rights for two high school stadiums, Jim Rowland Stadium and Mayo-Thompson Stadium, which will now be known as the 'Coca-Cola Field' at each location.
The Fort Smith School Board voted in favor of the agreement on Monday, which includes an annual payment of $40,000 from Coca-Cola. These funds are specifically designated for turf replacement projects at both schools.
The district had previously estimated that replacing the fields with artificial turf would cost between $3 million and $4 million. The partnership is expected to help alleviate some of these costs.
