Four AI Giants Accused of Secret Slowdown Pact

A lawsuit has been filed against Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceXAI, and Google for allegedly making an illegal agreement to slow down their AI development.

The lawsuit claims that the companies violated antitrust laws by coordinating efforts to slow down their respective AI developments, which would reduce the value consumers get from paid AI subscriptions.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, September 19, 2026.
