Freedom Holding Corp. Named General Partner of 2026 World Chess Championship Match
Freedom Holding Corp., which provides financial services in 24 countries, has been named General Partner of the Salesforce FIDE World Championship Match 2026. This partnership marks a continuation of Freedom's long-term cooperation with the International Chess Federation (FIDE). The 2026 match will take place from November 22 to December 12 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The contest will feature two young players: reigning World Champion Gukesh D of India and challenger Javokhir Sindarov of Uzbekistan. Both players are just 20 years old when the match begins, making this the youngest World Championship contest in history. The match format consists of up to 14 classical games.
Freedom's involvement in the championship supports FIDE's efforts to deliver and promote one of the most important international chess events. This partnership is part of Freedom's broader commitment to chess as a platform for education, intellectual development, and international exchange.
