FTSE 100 Stocks on the Cheap: Sage and Pershing Square Worth Considering
The FTSE 100 index has reached new heights this year, but there are still several cheap stocks to consider buying. One such stock is Sage (LSE:SGE), a leading provider of accounting and payroll software. Despite concerns about the impact of AI on its business, Sage's actual results show no evidence of disruption.
In fact, the company has reported nine months of accelerating revenue growth, with momentum strengthening further in the third quarter. Revenue increased by 11% to £2.1bn, driven by expansion of AI-powered features such as Sage Copilot and agentic capabilities. These are now available to over 600,000 customers.
Another stock that offers value is Pershing Square (LSE:PSH), a fund run by Bill Ackman with a long-term record of outperforming the S&P 500. However, the fund has underperformed this year and is trading at a wide discount to its net asset value.
Pershing Square's holdings include top-notch positions such as Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, and Uber, which are now trading at highly attractive valuations following recent additions of Visa, Mastercard, Netflix, and Intercontinental Exchange. As a result, investors can gain exposure to these high-quality businesses cheaply.
