Gates Foundation Prioritizes Steady Compounders Over Tech Stocks
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's investment portfolio is worth $34.4 billion, as of June 30, according to its quarterly Form 13F filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Its top holding is Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA), Class B shares, valued at approximately $7.4 billion. The foundation has trimmed its stake by about 2.4 million shares in the second quarter but still holds 14.7 million shares.
The next four largest holdings belong to industrial companies: Caterpillar (CAT), Canadian National Railway, Waste Management, and Deere, with values ranging from $2.3 billion to $6.8 billion.
