Generac Stocks Soar on $2.4 Billion Amazon Deal
Generac Holdings (GNRC) stock surged on September 17 after announcing a multi-billion-dollar commercial partnership with Amazon (AMZN). The deal aims to provide backup power solutions for Amazon's expanding data center footprint. According to Generac, the initial deliveries of backup generators are expected to bring in $2.4 billion over the next two years, while the lifetime value of the contract is around $8 billion.
Amazon will also receive warrants to purchase up to 1.69 million GNRC shares as part of this arrangement. The deal has been seen as a boost to Generac's stock, which had declined by roughly 40% compared to its year-to-date high in late June.
J Jefferies analysts reiterate their 'Buy' rating on GNRC shares and maintained a bullish price target of $286, indicating potential upside of nearly 37% from current levels. They believe the deal offers multi-year revenue visibility and validates Generac's commercial and industrial market expansion strategy.
