Georgia Retail Crime Ring Indicted on RICO Charges
Eleven individuals have been charged in Georgia under Georgia's RICO statute for allegedly operating an organized retail crime ring. According to authorities, the group targeted major retailers across four states, including Walmart, Home Depot, and Ulta Beauty.
The suspects are accused of stealing over $200,000 worth of merchandise from October 2022 through September 2026. The stolen goods included high-value items such as Rolex watches, gold necklaces, diamond rings, designer sunglasses, perfume, electronics, and power tools.
Investigators allege that some of the stolen merchandise was sold through Instagram and other Meta platforms. The alleged thefts took place in 11 Georgia counties, as well as retail locations in Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia.
The investigation involved Georgia's Organized Retail Crime Unit, Savannah Police, and asset-protection teams from several retailers. The charges remain allegations until proven guilty in court.
