German Woman with Trump Tattoo Arrested at Doonbeg Golf Club
A German woman who traveled to Ireland to present a scrapbook to US President Donald Trump was arrested and charged with trespassing at Doonbeg Golf Club. Dunja Habbal, 26, had a Donald Trump tattoo on her left arm and was found in possession of scissors, which she claimed were used to cut out pictures for the scrapbook.
Habbal appeared in Ennis District Court, where her solicitor Tara Godfrey explained that her client was an 'admirer' of President Trump and had traveled to the resort to present the scrapbook. Godfrey stated that Habbal had 'serious mental health difficulties' and found comfort in her spiritual connection with Trump.
The trespass charge against Habbal was admitted, as she did not realize she needed a ticket for the Amgen Irish Open on the Friday. The court also heard that Gardaí accepted Habbal's explanation for the scissors and were kind and concerned about her welfare during her arrest.
