Gloucestershire Man Charged Over Homophobic Abuse At Brighton Football Match

A man from Gloucestershire has been charged with homophobic abuse after an incident at a Brighton and Hove Albion football match.

The alleged abuse occurred during Brighton's draw against Leeds United on September 5 at the American Express Community Stadium in Brighton.

Alexander Bishop, 55, was arrested and later charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Bishop is due to appear in court on December 3 at Brighton Magistrates' Court.
