Goldman Sachs Boosts Renk Group to 'Buy' with EUR 65 Price Target
Renk Group's stock price rebounded by 5.5% on Friday to close at EUR 42.39, following a fresh buy recommendation from Goldman Sachs. The investment bank upgraded Renk shares to 'Buy' while keeping its price target unchanged at EUR 65.00.
The upgrade comes as the company faces mixed sentiment in Europe's defense sector, with investors weighing long-term military spending commitments against near-term valuation concerns. However, Goldman analyst Sam Burgess argued that Renk offers strong visibility on future earnings growth and a compelling entry opportunity following the stock's extended decline.
The company's backlog now stands at EUR 7.4 billion, more than four times its typical annual revenue, which could lead to considerable leverage if production ramps up as planned. Market watchers project an adjusted operating margin of 21.5% by the end of the decade, with the land vehicles segment seen climbing as high as 24.9%.
UBS Group AG's recent disclosure of a 5.08% stake in Renk has also been seen as an endorsement of the company's medium-term potential. However, geopolitical risks and operational challenges remain key wildcards for the company's future performance.
