Goldman Sachs Trims Evercore Stock Target Amid Valuation Concerns
Goldman Sachs has revised its target for Evercore's stock price downward to $331 from $377. This cut represents a decrease of $46.00, or 12.20 percent, from Goldman Sachs' previous target.
The bank maintained its 'Buy' rating on the shares despite lowering its price target. The new target is still above the current market value on the NYSE, but it highlights the importance of factors like operating performance and deal activity in determining Evercore's valuation.
Evercore reported impressive second-quarter results, with adjusted earnings per share at $2.91 and revenue of $990.2 million exceeding expectations. The company also bolstered its advisory capabilities by hiring senior bankers Jean Stack and John Song from Robert W. Baird & Co.
