Google Adds Multimodal Filter to Search Console Performance Report

Google has introduced a new filter for its Search Console performance report called 'Multimodal.' This feature allows website owners to see how their content is being discovered through multimodal features like Google Lens, image uploads, and the Chrome right-click 'Search this image' feature.

The Multimodal filter is available under the 'Web' option in the search type filter. It tracks search results triggered by a query that uses an image or photo, which are considered multimodal searches.

According to Google, text-only queries are tracked as 'Text-based.' This new feature provides website owners with more information on how their content is being accessed and can help them optimize their online presence accordingly.
