Google Adds Transit Card Support to Wallet, Revamps Play Store Navigation
Google has rolled out an update to its Google Play Services (v26.35), which brings several new features and improvements, including a convenient addition to Google Wallet.
The latest version of Google Play Services introduces support for adding physical transit cards and balances to the Google Wallet app using NFC technology. This means users will be able to use their NFC-compatible Android phone to tap and access public transport without carrying a physical transit card.
This update also includes improvements to account management, location sharing, and regulatory compliance notices on Android devices.
Additionally, the Google Play Store (v53.1) has received an update with new navigation bar and improved 'Similar Apps' section. Users will now be able to see a short description highlighting key features for apps displayed in the 'Similar Apps' section within the Play Store.
