Google Ads to Auto-Apply Website Discounts to Campaigns Starting October 12 2026
Google Ads is rolling out a new feature that will automatically pull discount offers from advertisers' websites and attach them to eligible campaigns starting October 12, 2026. The change, announced via an email notice shared by Search Engine Roundtable, applies to Search and Performance Max campaigns tied to physical business locations. Enrollment is automatic, but advertisers can opt out anytime through an account-level setting.
The feature, which has been in existence for some time, is designed to improve ad performance by providing users with valid offers without manual setup. According to Google, the system will automatically identify and extract high-quality promotions, such as discount offers and deals, from an advertiser's site. However, the criteria for determining valid promotions are not specified.
The new promotion assets will appear in the Assets section of the account, but only those that have served impressions will be visible. Advertisers retain full control and can manage these assets directly. The opt-out option is available in the account-level automated assets settings, though no campaign-level control is mentioned.
The announcement follows a pattern of automated enrollment in various Google products throughout 2026, with differing controls for each feature. This move is part of Google's broader effort to streamline ad management and enhance campaign performance through automation.
