Google's AI Overviews are making a comeback for many large brand names. According to Chris Long, who reported on X, this trend is becoming more prevalent. He claims that out of 100 brands tested, 93% have AI Overviews appearing in search results.

The AI Overviews are not showing up at the top of the page, but rather lower down in the search results. For example, when searching for Wikipedia, the AI Overview is shown mid-page. However, some companies like Adobe do show at the top of the page.

Chris Long noted that this trend was also observed in July 2026, but the number of queries showing AI Overviews has increased significantly since then. DemandSphere provided data supporting this claim.
