Google has launched Gemini, an AI-powered tool designed to automate contracts and research for legal professionals. The new system, part of Google's Enterprise for Legal suite, uses MCP connectors to link with popular legal systems such as iManage, NetDocuments, and DocuSign.

Gemini reviews contracts, conducts legal research, and tracks regulatory changes while respecting existing access permissions. Partners like Deloitte offer pre-built AI agents for tasks like contract summarization.

According to Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, Gemini is available now as a preview and part of a new lineup of industry-specific AI solutions. Similar offerings have been launched by other providers, such as Anthropic's plugin-based solutions for legal and other sectors.
