Google-Backed NGPL Pipeline Expansion Plans Hit Texas Permit Freeze
Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (NGPL) has proposed a 550,000 Dth/d pipeline expansion in Texas to supply natural gas to a planned Google data center. The expansion would add new compression capacity to ship an additional 321,200 Dth/d, while existing infrastructure already covers 228,800 Dth/d.
The project's timeline is uncertain due to a Texas permit freeze. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) must approve the expansion request before construction can begin.
