Google Boosts AI Plans with Free Colab Benefits

Google has made its AI plans even more appealing to power users by adding premium benefits from Google Colab. The tech giant's browser-based cloud platform offers access to computing resources, including GPUs and TPUs, and lets users write and execute Python code without installing software.

The standalone subscription costs $9.99 and $49.99 per month for Pro and Pro+, respectively. Now, with a paid Google AI plan, users can get started with Colab benefits for as little as $4.99 per month. Those who pay more for an AI Ultra subscription get added perks, including uninterrupted background execution and premium GPU access.

Existing Colab subscribers can stack the new benefits, which will automatically be applied once their Google AI subscription is confirmed. To get the Colab benefits via a Google AI plan, head to the 'Colab paid products' link and choose 'Upgrade to Google One.' Ensure that you use the same Google account for both services.

The Colab perks are only available with paid Google AI plans, so those on a free trial won't qualify. The benefits are rolling out to Colab-supported countries now and can take a few weeks to appear in your account.
