Google Brings AI Training to Santa Monica Small Businesses
Google's 'Make AI Work for You' workshop series brought artificial intelligence training to local small businesses in Santa Monica. Over 30 entrepreneurs gathered at the Annenberg Community Beach House on August 28 for a two-hour session focused on practical, hands-on instruction. The event was part of Google's tour along Route 66, celebrating the highway's centennial.
The workshop covered how to interact with AI using everyday language, writing effective prompts, evaluating results, and using AI as a brainstorming partner. Attendees learned about Google's no-cost tools, including the Gemini App and Gemini Notebook, and how AI features can streamline routine tasks inside Google Workspace.
Grow with Google emphasized that the training resources are designed to be accessible across any AI tool, not just their own products. The company provided complimentary parking, light food, and refreshments, as well as encouraged participants to bring a laptop for hands-on tutorials.
