Google has introduced Motion Assist on Android devices, aimed at reducing motion sickness for users. This feature is similar to Apple's Motion Cues, which has been available on iOS devices for years. Motion Assist displays slowly animating circles on the edges of the device display that correspond to the movement detected.

The feature can be enabled in the Settings app under Your profile > All services > Personal & device safety, and it will automatically activate when the phone detects it's in a moving vehicle. Users can also toggle it on/off using a Quick Settings tile.

Customization options are available for the color, shape, and opacity of the dots, which can be configured to change randomly each use. Android Authority reports that Google has begun rolling out Motion Assist on Android 17 phones and devices, starting with Pixels.
