Google Brings Voice Commands to Gmail, Keep, and Docs

Google is rolling out a new feature that allows users to interact with Gmail, Keep, and Docs through voice commands. The feature, called Gemini Live, was first showcased at Google I/O earlier this year. To access this feature, users will need to be subscribed to Google AI Plus, Pro, or Ultra plans.

Gmail Live aims to reduce the need for manual searching by allowing users to simply ask Gmail a question and receive an organized response with relevant information. For example, users can ask about their kids' school week or an upcoming trip, and Gmail will provide a spoken response with details.

Keep Live allows users to organize thoughts into notes through voice commands. Users can ask Keep questions, such as about an upcoming project or recipe, and receive instructions and additional information, including materials or groceries that can be added separately to shopping lists.
