Google Confirmed Behind Mystery Wrist Wearable Device

The mystery wrist wearable device, initially spotted in an FCC filing, has been confirmed by Singapore's IMDA database as a Google product.

The listing reveals that the brand behind the G8BL6 device is indeed Google, with 'Wireless Device' listed as the equipment description and Bluetooth as the equipment type.

The IMDA entry clarifies the FCC filing's lack of naming Google directly, instead naming Weifang Goertek Electronics as the applicant.

The clues from the FCC paperwork now make more sense, pointing to a device intended for direct wrist placement with onboard satellite positioning via GNSS and Bluetooth LE.
