Google Confirms Data Center Deal with Crusoe Energy Systems in Amarillo
Crusoe Energy Systems has confirmed that Google will be the end-user of its data center campus in Amarillo, Texas. The campus, dubbed the Goodnight Campus, is currently under construction near Claude and is expected to feature seven buildings with over 1 GW of capacity.
The project, which broke ground in June 2025, is located adjacent to a 265.5 MW wind farm and will have excess energy injected into the grid when the wind farms exceed the campus's needed power output.
A total investment of $29 billion is expected for the project, with the first phase covering four buildings and 530 MW, and the second phase covering three buildings with 500 MW of capacity. This mirrors Crusoe's Abilene campus.
