Google Convinces Critics with Seamless Integration in New Googlebook Models

Rita, a Senior Features Editor at Android Police, shared her thoughts on Google's latest announcement. She initially paid $750 for a Google Pixelbook in 2018 and has been using Chrome OS ever since.

The new Googlebook models have prices starting from $899 for the Acer model and going up to $1,299 for the HP, Lenovo, and ASUS options. Rita was surprised by these high price tags but decided to give them a chance after seeing the features offered.

The Googlebook OS runs the full desktop version of Chrome, which addresses one of Rita's concerns about using an Android laptop. The platform also has a powerful file browser, home screen widgets, and other features that impressed her.

Rita is particularly excited about the seamless integration between Android apps on her Pixel Tablet and Googlebook OS. Developers can now allow entire apps to continue where they left off, making it easier to switch between devices.
