Google Expands Gemini Live to Gmail, Docs, and Keep Apps
Google's AI-powered Gemini has expanded its capabilities to Gmail, Docs, and Keep apps. The feature, called 'Live', allows users to converse with their inbox, documents, or notes using natural language. This means users can ask questions, follow up on answers, and even interrupt the conversation to clarify points.
The Live feature is a natural evolution of Gemini's capabilities, but it is currently only available to those paying for Google's AI plans. In Gmail, Live acts as a spoken search function, helping users narrow down specific details in their inbox. In Docs, Live can assist with writing first drafts by pulling information from other Google apps.
However, Keep Live seems to be the most useful feature, allowing users to create legible notes from their stream of consciousness or split them into different notes. Users can even ask Live to add specific items to their shopping list.
